Guest of Honor: Tananarive Due

Tananarive Due holds an M.A. in English literature from the University of Leeds, England, where she specialized in Nigerian literature. She teaches creative writing in the MFA Program at Antioch University, Los Angeles. She has taught at the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Workshop. Her books include the stand-along supernatural novels The Between, The Good House, and Joplin’s ghost; the African Immortals series My Soul to Keep, The Living Blood, and Blood Colony; and a historical novel about Madam C.J. Walker, The Black Rose. In collaboration with Blair Underwood and Steven Barnes she has written the mystery novel Casenegra and its sequel, In the Night of the Heat. Freedom and Family: A Mother-Daughter Memoir, written with her mother, Patricia Stephens Due, was named Best Civil Rights Memoir by Black Issues Book Review. She is reprising her appearance as Diversicon 10 Co-Guest of Honor with her husband, Steven Barnes.

Guest of Honor: Steven Barnes

Steven Barnes is a creative colsultant, human performance technician, and martial arts authority. His novels include Dream Park and Saturn’s Race (both with Larry Niven); The Legand of Heorot and Beowulf’s Children (both with Niven and Jerry Pournelle); Streetlethal, The Kundalini Equation, Gorgon Child, Firedance, Blood Brothers, Far Beyond the Stars, Charisma, the alternate history Lion’s Blood and its sequel, Zulu Heart; and the mystery novel Casenegra and its sequel, In the Night of the Heat, written with Blair Underwood and Tananarive Due. He has written episodes for The Outer Limits, SG-1, Andromeda, and other TV shows. He is reprising his appearance as Diversicon 10 Co-Guest of Honor with his wife, Tananarive Due.
