Diversicon is a project of SF MINNESOTA, a multicultural, multimedia organization dedicated to improving contacts among groups and individuals interested in speculative fiction, within and outside of the traditional SF community. Our continuing mission: to provide the most thoughtful Programming and the mellowest, most welcoming Parties of any Minnesota SF convention, and to making our state’s SF community more closely reflect the cultural diversity of Minnesota in the third millennium.

Message from the Chair
Diversicon wants to be one of your con options for 2011. We have four great guests, providing a diversity in experience and styles. Diversicon has the highest level of participant involvement in our panels of any con in the Twin Cities. Our attendees are what makes it a great con. Diversicon is unique in having great live guests, but a great chance to go back and look at some of our genre’s greats and pathfinders. Diversicon’s auction is a great time to get bargains on a wide variety of items, plus you’re welcome to donate things for the auction. So join us for a great weekend.
Speculations Reading Series
Speculations, SF Minnesota’s science fiction/fantasy reading series (since 1995!) continues monthly at DreamHaven Books, 2301 E. 38th Street, Minneapolis. Readings are usually held on Fridays, 6:30–7:30 p.m., but may take place on the occasional Thursday (such as the evening before Diversicon 19, which will feature a Diversicon-themed panel). Check here for the latest info.
The readings include a reception with complimentary refreshments and are followed by informal hanging out at a casual restaurant nearby. For further information about Speculations, contact Eric M. Heideman. Our sincere thanks to S.A.S.E. and Intermedia Arts for their long-time sponsorship of the Carol Connolly Readings, of which Speculations was the SF edition.
